Start a practice conversation

Open Materials, find the Customer Interview agent and select New conversation. Pupils interview a simulated customer by asking one question at a time.

Ask useful questions

Start with open questions about recent experiences and frustrations. Avoid questions that lead the customer, contain several parts or jump straight to a solution.

  • Ask about something that happened recently.
  • Use one clear question at a time.
  • Follow an interesting answer instead of reading from a script.

Use AI as practice

The agent may offer coaching or suggest a follow-up. Pupils should use that feedback to improve their thinking, not treat every response as fact.

Review saved conversations

Open Materials, choose the Customer Interview agent and look under Previous Conversations. Teachers can see the pupil, team, last activity time and message count, then open a transcript to review the exchange.

Give human feedback

Look for open questions, useful follow-ups and moments where the pupil moved too quickly towards a solution. Use the transcript as a prompt for discussion, not as an assessment on its own.
